Pat Sharples gives Southern Freestyle Club and website the thumbs up!
At the regular freestyle session on Monday 13 August the Southern Freestyle Club welcomed the one and only Pat Sharples to the Bracknell John Nike Ski Slope to meet the members and to check out the local talent that the club has to offer in terms of freestyle.
Pat was invited by the newly-formed Southern Freestyle Club to discuss future ideas such as Southern GROM camps, European training trips and an annual ‘Southern Fried Chicken’ ski competition to be run by the Club. Pat was more than happy to share his extensive experience and expertise with members and, more importantly, pledged his full support to the Club at such events.
Finally, Pat couldn’t wait to join the eager young skiers on the slopes of Bracknell in order to give tips on how to tackle the kickers and rails with flair. Skiers and snowboarders young (and old) took the opportunity to perfect their grinds, 360s and switches under his expert eye.
As if this wasn’t enough, proof of his support for the club in the future was emphasised at the Tamworth GROM camp on Tuesday 14 August, when he made special reference to the Southern Freestyle Club website at the prize giving.
So, as the saying goes, watch this space…
