West Beach Snoflex Championship: Warmwell Round-up June 2007
Bright and sunny day greeted competitors and spectators down at the Dorset Snowsports Centre last Saturday (16th June) for the 2nd stop of the Westbeach Snowflex series, a competition series new this year that we are the official media partners for.
With well over 150 spectators, competitors and us industry hoes at the slope the place was very busy, but this didn’t seem to put off any of the riders and an ongoing display of skill, talent and natural board and ski ability was on display all day.
The qualifying rounds sorted the men from the boys and the women from the girls, and a selection of the day’s best riders made it through to the finals. Before the final could take place the Document and Fall-Line crew, along with Westbeach, Endeavor, SP, AKA snowskate and Big Dreams, held a jib jam on the rails in which the riders could win spot prizes for their skillz and special prizes for nailing tricks that were called. All riders entered, most won prizes and a few nailed the tricks for special prizes which included a pair of Spy goggles and limited edition Fall-Line and Document t-shirts.
The finals then took place and it was a really close one, with sponsored big-name riders like Sam Cullum in against some of Rome Snowboards’ finest dryslope talent, Zach Culshaw and Will Smith, top Spanish riders specially flown in for the event and little mini rippers Jamie Nicholls and Little Will Smith. You can find all the results with the riders best stomped trick listed below and there will be a full review inside an early issue of Document next season – look out for it.
Document Snowboard also want to give a big shout out to local boy and Big Dreams shop rider Chris Bratt. He won the special Document prize which was an Endeavor snowboard of his choice from next season’s range and will be taking part in the final event in France with the Document crew. Nice one Chris!
Lucky rider Scott Penman won a season’s subscription to Document for his efforts and Billy Wilson won a season’s subscription to Fall-Line for his. Well done boys!

Bracknell Jumps Bumps And Two Smoking Turntables June 2007
The third competition of Jumps, Bumps and Two Smoking Turntables was held on the 23rd June 2007, the event was held at John Nike Leisuresport Bracknell.
The event consisted of a slope style and big air competition for skiers and snowboarders, split into male and female and also into under 16's and 16's and over and for the skiing we had a under 10's catorgory.
The day started at 9.00 where we setted up for the competition and registration started at 10am where we had a total of 57 riders beating last years event by 21 riders. We had a local DJ blasting out the beats throughout the day with Ryan Evans MC'ing and giving away spot prizes to the spectators and the competitors.
The first event started at 12.30pm, bit later then scheduled, which was slope style where we had a jam session that lasted for about an hour and a half, despite the strange weather where it was sunny one minute and raining heavy the next all the competitors manage to carry on, with the judges watching on they than choose the competitors to go into the final, for the final we change it from just a two run too a jam session where we have the top five in each catogory in the finalthat lasted for 45 minutes.
The second event was a big air event for this again we changed it from last year and did another jam session and then for the final each competitor got two runs each for this to throw down their best tricks over their choose of jump where we had four jumps out altogether.
After all this was done is was time for the competitors to have a rest and wait to see if they had won any prizes and what prizes were on offer.

The event was a huge success with twice as many sponsors sponsoring the event then we had last year and all the riders that took part in the event. We hope to make this event a yearly success but wont be able to do it with out the help of all the sponsors, the riders and the organisors.
We would like to thanks all the sponsors for the event all the riders, the DJ's, MC, judges and everyone who helped out on the day to make it run really smoothly and thankfully we had no major accidents.
